There’s Never Been a Better Time to Learn Piano

No matter how young or old you are, wanting to make the piano roar is a longing that doesn’t go away.

Five years from now, you’ll still have it. It’s just one of those things.

Fortunately, tapping into your longing is far more valuable than having a “natural” ability to play. The burning desire to sit down on the piano bench and play virtually any song is worth 100 times more than having talent alone.

You just need the right information – the right plan – to give your desire a chance to work. And now you have one…

Literally in a day, you’ll have everything you need to get started. And if you’ve played a little bit in the past, it’s the most useful “refresher” you’ll ever get.

Once you master the five lessons below, you’ll be able to:

The five lessons are so comprehensive, so powerful, you’ll be able to leave the seminar, drive to the music store, pick up the song you’ve always wanted to play, then drive home and get started.

Anyone – I Mean Anyone – Can Play Piano

When most professional pianists begin learning how to play, their feet can’t even reach the pedals. They train for years – decades, usually.

But you don’t have to start playing when you’re 5 to get good. You just need the right tools… and that burning desire we talked about.

My piano career got off to a late start, too. I started playing in my twenties – just 10 years ago. I always wanted to learn, but my decision to start – to really take action – came a bit late for me…

I was listening to an intimate classical performance in a small chapel in Venice, Italy – two violins, a viola, a cello and a harpsichord. Thirty, maybe 40 (lucky) people attended the concert.

I wasn’t born a classical music lover, but the sounds in the church that day changed me. Something hit home. It was inspiring.

Playing piano is what I always wanted to do, but I never did anything about it. Why hadn’t I started to take lessons?

That’s when I made a bold move.

At 22, and just three weeks out of college, I decided to scrap my career plans. The piano would be my thing, my gig.

So far, so good…

Now, eight years later, I play ragtime piano professionally. People pay me to play my favorite piano songs! It’s the best (and most thrilling) decision I’ve ever made. I’ll never turn back.

It wasn’t easy, of course. I ended up teaching myself. And that meant making a lot of mistakes.

But because my goal was so big, I was willing to work through them.

The Five Lessons

Naturally, not everyone wants to be a professional piano player. But I learned some invaluable lessons along the way that anyone can use… even if you just want to play sing-alongs after dinner to entertain your friends and family.

Starting out, I bought books, tried taking lessons… I read a lot of how-to articles that were available online at the time. But it really came down to one thing: putting in the time. It’s no news flash, but it is “the secret.”

You see, there are infinite methods for learning the piano. But only one truth: To get better, you must practice. And over time, I developed a rather good technique. I’ve been using it to learn new songs ever since. It works.

You see, when you take this technique – and learn to harness your desire – then combine it with the fundamentals of piano, you have a “magic formula” of sorts. Or what I call “The Only Five Lessons You’ll Ever Need.” Anyone can use them.

Here’s how this program works:

The seminar is a one-day learning event. You’ll be part of a small group – limited to 25 aspiring piano players. When you arrive, you will be given all the materials you need. You just have to just show up and be ready to get off to a fast start.

We’ll be covering a lot of ground...

Section #1: Here’s where we master the fundamentals. Not only will we look at how to read and write every note on the grand staff – in every key – you’ll also find out how they all work together. When we’re finished, you’ll know:

Where scales fit in, and an easy way to play them…

How to play songs by ear, if you want to…

At the end, you’ll know more about piano playing than someone who just spent a year taking private lessons. The course isn’t “lite.” It’s for people who are serious about learning.

There are a lot of resources to choose from out there – DVDs, online videos, e-books, etc. Many of them are useful. But they’re restricted by their format.

What happens when you get stuck? What if you want to know more than just how to play chords? Or if you want to really understand how to read music… and not just watered-down fake books?

More importantly, what if you want the most crucial element of all: feedback?

This is a big part of the process. And we’ll keep the group small because of it. You’ll get a chance to ask a lot of questions… which helps everyone else in the room, too. And once the seminar ends, you can call me or send me an email at any time.

Everything You Need… In A Day

Taking the five lessons is easy. All you have to do is give us a call and we’ll get you signed up. You can register online, too. (Just go to the bottom or the top of this page.)

Directions Link Can Go In Here, too – I’ll get it to you…

As I mentioned earlier, by attending this one-day seminar you’ll know more than someone who’s taken private lessons for an entire year. That would cost you in the neighborhood of $2,000.

The benefit of a teacher, of course, is the constant, weekly prodding. You know, the dreaded question: “How much did you practice this week?”

The five lessons, by contrast, give you the same information… but for 90% less money. The all-in-one seminar is only $199. And I won’t be on your case every week.

Again, the only thing you have to do is show up. All of the course materials will be given to you. Just get ready to learn… and get a good night’s sleep!

The seminar is at Henderson’s Wharf, in the heart of Fells Point. (Directions.) and starts at 9:00 a.m. sharp. We’ll have all the coffee, teas and soft-drinks you can handle, but lunch will be “on your own.” (There are more than a dozen restaurants within four blocks of Henderson’s Wharf.)

We’ll wrap it up at about 4 p.m., but I’ll be available until 5 to answer your questions.

So I’ll leave it at that. We’ll have to plenty of time to talk shop at the seminar. The next one is June 21st, 2008.

Just give us a call soon so we can put your name on one of the seats, or use the “Pay Now” button to register online. I hope to see you there.

Sincerely,

Alex Williams

P.S. If you need to cancel your registration, or reschedule, all I ask is that you let me know two weeks before the day of the course. You’ll get a full refund, no questions asked. (I Just need to let the folks at Henderson’s Wharf know how many refreshments, chairs, pens and pads to have ready.)
